And here’s what I found: Most businesses are leaving customers on the table without even knowing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When someone’s furnace goes out in January, they don’t want a story. They want a phone number. If they can’t find it in 3 seconds, they call the next name on Google.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fix:<\/strong> Move the phone number to the top of every page. Make it big. Make it tappable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Estimated impact:<\/strong> 3\u20135 more emergency service calls per week during peak seasons<\/p>\n\n\n\n Business type:<\/strong> Small lodge near the Ashley National Forest What it’s costing them:<\/strong> Weekend bookings from out-of-town visitors who plan trips at night. They call, get voicemail, and book somewhere else that has online reservations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fix:<\/strong> Add a simple booking calendar. It doesn’t need to be fancy. Even a Google Calendar with available dates and a “Call to book” button is better than nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Estimated impact:<\/strong> 2\u20134 additional bookings per week during summer and hunting seasons<\/p>\n\n\n\n Business type:<\/strong> Outdoor gear shop in Roosevelt What it’s costing them:<\/strong> Direct sales. A customer clicks “buy now” and hits a dead end. In most cases, they don’t call. They just assume the business is closed or unreliable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fix:<\/strong> Run a simple broken link check once a month. Fix or remove any dead pages. Test the checkout process personally every two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Estimated impact:<\/strong> 10\u201315 lost sales per month recovered<\/p>\n\n\n\n Business type:<\/strong> Small health clinic in Duchesne What it’s costing them:<\/strong> New patient intake. First impressions matter. If someone can’t find you on the first try, they may not try a second time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fix:<\/strong> Claim the Google Business Profile and correct the pin location. The problem:<\/strong> Their website looks fine on a computer. On a phone, the menu is a PDF that requires pinching, zooming, and three extra taps to read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nCase #2: The HVAC Company With a Buried Phone Number<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The problem:<\/strong> Their phone number is at the bottom of the homepage in light gray text. On mobile, it’s even smaller. A visitor has to scroll past three paragraphs of “about us” text to find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nCase #3: The Lodge With No Online Booking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The problem:<\/strong> Their website shows beautiful photos of cabins. Then it says “Call for availability.” That’s it. No calendar. No pricing. No way to book after 5 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nCase #4: The Retailer With Broken Product Links<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The problem:<\/strong> They have an online store, sort of. But six of their most popular product links lead to “Page Not Found” errors. They didn’t know because nobody told them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\nCase #5: The Medical Clinic With the Wrong Google Maps Pin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The problem:<\/strong> Their website has the correct address. But Google Maps shows their pin one block away, behind a different building. New patients follow the pin, get confused, and sometimes give up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
